This series of interactive software applications were inspired by my interest in animating the 2-dimensional art of my laser-cut paper series. The subject of this work explores challenges we face globally as our climate becomes more unpredictable and our consumption unsustainable. My goal has been to create a series of work that places the audience as an actor in the interplay with a virtual environment. For each piece I incorporated an example of simulated physics such as: Perlin noise, inverse kinematics, forward kinematics, Lissajous curves, gear velocity ratio, fluid dynamics, and Newton’s 2nd Law of Motion.
